Before you start
- Sign in to the right workspace and save any unfinished edits before navigating away.
- Use an internet connection. Installing the web app is not an offline copy of your client records.
What you will learn
- Act on current tasks without hunting through project tabs.
- Use the same workspace on desktop and phone.
- Understand what a document backup includes—and what it does not.
Step-by-step
Start with the dashboard
Review To-do and the projects coming up in the next seven days. Select To-do this week to focus on near-term task dates without leaving the page. Overdue indicators draw attention to late work. Completed tasks remain available for a recent-history review or undo.
Edit or complete work in context
Use the task checkbox or edit control right in the dashboard. Follow the project or contact link for context. On a project date, open Booking summary for the internal briefing rather than finding each planning tool separately.
Use search and quick creation
Search across the workspace when you need a project, contact, quote, invoice, or contract. Creation selectors also filter as you type. The mobile centre plus menu groups project, contact, task, quote, invoice, and payment actions, subject to your permissions.
Install and choose reminders
Open the app in a supported browser and use its home-screen or install option. Sign in from the installed app if needed. In Notifications & reminders, enable supported browser notifications and test them after allowing permission. Push support depends on device and browser; iPhone web push needs a supported iOS version and home-screen installation.
Download a private copy
Workspace owners can use Data & backups for records and the documents-backup ZIP. Keep the page open during preparation and save the downloaded file somewhere private. Review the manifest and export before relying on it as your retained copy.
A document backup is an on-demand export
The ZIP combines original uploaded files and workspace records, including archived projects. Contract text and signatures, questionnaires and answers, and saved links are in the records export. The manifest lists uploaded files and checksums.
- The current document-backup limit is 500 files and 100 MB.
- External websites, gallery contents, and business logos are not copied into this archive.
- It is not a scheduled backup, offline app, or automatic restore file.
- Private downloads still contain client information; restrict access to where you store them.
Reminders help you notice work; they do not replace the record
Use saved task dates and the dashboard as the source of truth. Device permissions, browser support, and your reminder settings affect notification delivery. If a notification is missing, check those settings and the actual task date rather than assuming the task has disappeared.
- Save changes before refreshing after an app update.
- Check a pending browser permission request when a notification test does nothing.
- Avoid clearing browser storage while an unsaved form or editor draft is still needed.

The visual example is not connected to a workspace. A home-screen install still needs internet access; it is not a replacement for a private backup.

Common questions
Is the installed app a separate App Store application?
No. It is the same web app in a supported home-screen or app-style browser experience.
Can a document backup restore my workspace automatically?
No. It is a private export for your records, not an automatic restore or migration service.
Will the backup download my photo gallery?
No. The saved gallery link is a record, but the externally hosted gallery's images are not copied.
